It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time!

Have you ever done something that you’ve regretted later?

Have you ever made a decision, taken action, or said something, in the heat of the moment, that you later realized was a bad idea?

Have you ever done something, said something or made a decision that you later couldn’t understand?

You may have even thought the decision through and believed you had good reason for it at the time.

It may have seemed like a great idea in the moment; it may have then turned out to be against what you really want.

So, what happened?

The majority of our decisions and actions are determined by subconscious programming.

The subconscious prompts the brain to trigger the major organs to produce chemicals that cause certain sensations based on this programming.

We feel these sensations as emotions; and since it is the conscious mind that provides our logic, it assigns reasons to the sensations we’re feeling.

We then recognize this reasoning as our own conscious thoughts and decisions.

It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time

It’s Not You

Although it may feel like your decisions and choices are your own, the truth is, they are based on what you hold in your subconscious.

It is the feelings you experience that make your experiences seem real and spontaneous.

For example, if you know that you don’t want to spend any more money on eating out, you may make the conscious decision to make a packed lunch to take to work every day.

However, if you have a subconscious belief that supports your spending the money to eat out (and there are infinite possible reasons for this – that may or may not have anything to do with food or money) your subconscious, referring to this, will prompt your brain to trigger your organs to produce the chemicals that make you feel certain sensations that cause your conscious mind to make the decision to eat out instead.

These sensations could be tiredness – feeling that having to make a packed lunch is too much hassle; they could be feelings that prompt you to take your time in some area of your life so that you end up too late to make a packed lunch.

These chemicals could dampen your appetite, causing your conscious mind to believe you won’t need lunch – and then producing hunger later so that you need to eat out instead.

You may, in each case, believe that you are making the decision consciously, to eat out instead of making a packed lunch, for the apparent reasons; but the truth is, your conscious mind is only responding to the physical sensations of your body – caused by the signals to your brain from your subconscious.

How Do You Change it using Faster EFT?

The only way to truly change the results is to change the cause.

Change the original records held in the subconscious, and your body will be triggered to produce different chemicals – which will cause different sensations, which will in turn be interpreted by the conscious mind to make different decisions and take different actions.

Not only is this way of changing your results infinitely more effective than using willpower; it also makes the new choices effortless!

Take a moment to think about what it is you want to change in your life, that you find yourself failing to achieve.

Notice how you feel, and think back to your earliest memories of that particular habit or issue.

Then, use the FasterEFT Technique to address the connected memories – keep repeating the process until you flip them completely.

In future, when you find yourself about to make a decision that goes against your conscious desires, use FasterEFT in the moment to clear the feelings.

If you are in public, or can’t tap physically for some other reason, use Mental Tapping instead.
