Faster EFT, or Faster Emotionally Focused Transformation, or Faster EFT tapping, has been around for the past 10+ years. The Faster EFT technique interrupts that signal between the brain and the organs by focusing on the meridian points connected to those organs; and rewrites the reference or memory associated with that trigger.

In other words, if the person who feels angry by the loud music wanted to change that automatic response, they could use the FasterEFT tapping technique to disrupt the production of the chemicals that cause the feeling of anger when they hear the music; and change the meaning of loud music in the subconscious from “rude” or “disruptive” (or whatever they learned it means) to fun and enjoyment. This will result in an automatic feeling of enjoyment and fun when they hear that loud music in the future.

Faster EFT tapping deals with the root cause

It may seem impossible at first, but your emotions have a very physical, tangible effect on your health. When you feel an emotion, if you pay attention to the sensation of the emotion, you will notice you feel it somewhere in your body. It could be in your stomach, your chest, throat, head, or anywhere else. This sensation you are feeling is a biological reaction. Emotions are physical, even though we don’t consciously register them as such.

Whatever the current state of your physical health, your emotional states (controlled automatically by subconscious programming) will be having a powerful effect on it. Whatever your state of health right now, negative emotions (fight, freeze or flight states) will be making it worse and hindering any healing; positive emotions will be helping to strengthen your body and reduce damage caused by stress hormones. Finding ways to replace negative emotional states with positive emotional states is a priority for physical health.

Having said that, replacing negative emotions with positive is easier said than done – especially if you’re ill or in pain. Fortunately there is a way to achieve this without needing to force your conscious mind to try to be positive. Faster EFT tapping works with the subconscious to change the original records that determine our beliefs, behaviors and choices as well as our habitual emotional states – all of which contribute to healing.


Faster EFT tapping and Healing

The cocktail of chemicals flooding the bloodstream does more than cause sensations we recognize as emotions; it triggers certain physiological responses in the body. For example: One of the chemicals produced in the feeling of kindness is oxytocin. As it travels through the bloodstream, oxytocin is absorbed, resulting in a chemical that dilates the blood vessels. This means that whenever you are feeling kindness, your blood vessels are dilating – lowering your blood pressure. Over the long-term, being in a state of kindness can help to reduce hardening of the arteries and heart disease.

 

Contrary to this, the stress chemicals that produce the sensations of negative emotional states cause the body to go into an emergency state. The fight, freeze or flight state, while designed to help us survive physical danger, can be brought on by thought alone. This means that when you are feeling a negative emotion, your body is responding as if you are being threatened by a predator, even though there is no such physical threat.

 

A few of the responses of this stress state, that prevent healing are:

– Blood is pumped away from the organs to the extremities (for fighting or running away)

– The digestive system minimizes (not needed for escaping an attack)

– Healing is slowed or suspended (not needed for escaping in the moment)

– The molecules of the stress chemicals replace those of nutrients in being absorbed by the cells

– Activity in the prefrontal cortex of the brain is reduced (not needed for emergency escape)

– The immune system is impacted and compromised

 

All of these effects are harmless in the short-term. However, when a person is living in this state of stress for the majority of their time – in other words, feeling negative emotions on a daily basis – it can result in delayed healing and significant damage to the body. From cells not receiving sufficient nutrients to organs not receiving sufficient blood flow – on a constant basis – the effects can be life threatening.

 

In addition to the disease and illness that can result from a body being subjected to the effects of an ongoing, long-term stress state; the chemicals of negative emotions can affect genetic expression.

The research in epigenetics has shown that the molecules of stress hormones cause some genes to activate in ways they do not when there is an absence of these hormones. In other words, genetic diseases may be activated by prolonged, ongoing emotional states of stress.


How: Use Faster EFT tapping for healing

Step One

Take a deep breath, close your eyes and notice how you feel. Notice how you know you’re not feeling well or in pain. If you’re in pain, where in your body do you feel it, what kind of pain is it, and how strong is it? This is the process of aiming – you are pointing your subconscious in the direction of what you want to change. If you feel sick or tired, or worried – however you know that your health is not good. Just notice it, where the sensation is, and how strong it is.

Step Two

Using two fingers, and focusing now on the feeling of your fingertips on your skin, gently tap the following meridian points while saying the following phrases.

– Between your eyebrows – I release and let this go

– Beside your eye – It’s okay to let this go now

– Under your eye – It’s safe to let it go now

– Just below your collarbone – I don’t need it anymore, and I’m safe as I’m letting it go

Step Three

Grab your wrist, take a deep breath, blow it out, and say “Peace”. Now go to a peaceful memory, and just enjoy the feeling of that for a moment.

Step Four

Go back to the symptoms you focused on in Step One, and notice any changes. Is there any difference in the intensity or the position or the type of feelings? Whatever is there, just notice what’s left.

Step Five

Repeat Steps Two to Four until the bad feelings have completely gone, and you feel good. Now, this may take a while – especially if your physical disease is serious. You may need help from a practitioner if it’s especially intense. However, you should experience at least some relief from the symptoms in the meantime.
